We set this web site up to gather details of anyone who might be interested in playing live poker regularly in a non-casino environment in the Stoke-on-Trent area.

Most importantly we are looking for enthusiasts who want to play for fun or small stakes, not professionals or big money players. If you enjoy playing occasionally online or at home we'd like you to be part of our new game. Even if you've only watched poker on TV and would like to give it a go, or think it might be a good way to meet new friends, we'd like to hear from you.

We're trying to bring people together to play poker for enjoyment, but money is a key part of the game and of course it makes playing much more exciting! So it is expected that most games will have an entry fee with prize money using a tourament structure as seen on Channel 4's "Late Night Poker" or Challenge TV's "World Poker Tour" - although of course for nothing like the sums of money involved on those shows! Tournament games mean that the entry fee you pay is the most you can lose during that game - you don't have to worry about losing the car, house or ranch to a professional or hustler!

I come along because of the atmosphere and because it improves my game much more than playing in a casino. I certainly don't do it for the money (my £7 profit last night didn't even cover my petrol). -- Geoff W
